SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS NOTICE IS MARKET RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INCLUSION OF A SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME) SPECIFICATION IN A CONSTRUCTION PROJECT – PORT OF NOME MODIFICATION PHASE 1, NOME, ALASKA - AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska intends to specify the below listed items as part of a larger construction contract to be executed in Nome, Alaska. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement, for the specific items listed below, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR 6.302-1(c), “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - Application for brand name descriptions.”.

Items:

1. CAROLINA HIGH MAST LIGHT Independent of the subject USACE project, the Port of Nome intends on replacing all the existing lights (and lifting systems) with these new lights/lifting systems and standardize the systems moving forward. High mast lighting equipment is required to ensure that the item installed are consistent with the current Port lighting system standard.


2. VALMONT HIGH MAST POLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY – Pole High mast lighting equipment is required to ensure that the item installed are consistent with the current port lighting system standard.


3. CAROLINA HIGH MAST LIGHT POLE LIGHT ASSEMBLY - LOWERING DEVICE - High mast lighting equipment is required to ensure that the item installed are consistent with the current port lighting system standard.

THIS NOTICE IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be available as these sole source items will be incorporated into the specifications of an FY23 solicitation for the Port of Nome Modification Phase 1, Nome, Alaska.

Vendors who offer the above items which can meet all of the above functional criteria are invited to respond to this notice. Responses must include the following information:

1. Identification of the manufacturer’s name, address, and country of product manufacture.


2. Fully detailed specification sheets.


3. Narrative addressing how your product meets the salient features listed above.
