Request for Quotes - 1703 Homestead Road Fire Abatement

This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
Removal of existing fire damaged structure and other on-site structure debris from the property located at 1703 Homestead Road, Valdez, Alaska, 99686. All debris can be taken to the Valdez Landfill and dump fees will be waived for the contractor. Contractor is responsible for all transport and material handling of debris.
Utilities have been disconnected and the contractor shall remove electric and telecom connections and coil them on site; do not remove. Concrete foundations & basements are to remain but all other vertical structure is to be demolished and removed. Photos of the site are included in Attachment A.
The City of Valdez is not the owner of the property and the clean-up is required under a notice of abatement.
This Request for Quotes will be used for construction quotes under $40,000.

The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes.
Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.
Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.
