SOUTHCOAST REGION - DESIGN AND ENGINEERING SERVICES

CONSTRUCTION INVITATION TO BIDS (ITB’s)

Sealed bids in single copy for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work on Project No. 000S855/Z674660000; Ketchikan Ferry Terminal Improvements- Phase II, described herein, will be received until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time December 01, 2022, at the Construction Contracts Office, 1st Floor, 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, Alaska.

This Federal funded project would replace the ferry vessel fender system along the face of a 120’ long floating platform, install a new gangway and gangway landings, and make electrical and lighting improvements. All work on this project is at the AMHS Berth 3 Ferry Terminal in Ketchikan, Alaska. will consist of DESCRIPTION OF WORK HERE.

The Engineer's Estimate is between $2,500,000 and $5,000,000. All work shall be completed by December 31, 2023. This is a Race Neutral project as defined in Section 120 of the Specifications.

Plans, specifications, bid documents, reports, addenda, and other bidder information are posted online, and available for downloading free of charge at: https://www.bidx.com/ak/lettings .

Hard copies of these documents are still available in hard copy for a non-refundable fee of $100/set from the Southeast Regional Contracts, 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, Alaska, 99801-7999. Please be advised that this company does not provide overnight service to or from Juneau.  Allow at least 2 to 3 business days for receipt of expedited packages.

Bid results may not be available until after 4:00 PM on the bid opening day.  The results can be obtained on the Internet at: https://www.bidx.com/ak/lettings .

Bidding Documents are available for inspection at the office of the Regional Department of Transportation and Public Facilities offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau.
