The Department of Education and Early Development (DEED), Division of Finance and Support Services, is soliciting proposals for a Services of an accredited program providing extensive coursework and supervised practica leading to certification for teachers and specialists working with individuals with dyslexia and other related disorders. The preparation and certification program will follow the Knowledge and Practice Standards of Teachers of Reading (KPS). The course will be a rigorous class that provides educators with the research and preparation required when working with students that have a language-based learning disability.

The Department of Education and Early Development, Division of Finance and Support Services, estimates a budget of between $250,000.00 and $300,000.00dollars for completion of this project over five years. Proposals priced at less than $250,000.00 or more than $300,000.00 will be considered non-responsive and rejected.

For offers to be considered responsive offerors must meet these minimum prior experience requirements:

• Five years’ minimum experience working specifically within the field of Dyslexia.
• Accredited by the International Dyslexia Association (IDA)
