The Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) and Northern Region State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, is soliciting for a qualified professional firm with ferry experience and expert knowledge in the following disciplines: life cycle management; new vessel acquisition; preventative maintenance and performance; and planning, design, and construction of ferry operations. These disciplines will support asset sustainment efforts, whether capital improvement, overhaul, or while in revenue status.

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package.  Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is approximately January 2023 through December2024.  Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of greater than a $1,000,000.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available DECEMBER 9, 2022 , and may be downloaded from our web site at: http://www.dot.state.ak.us/procurement/prosvcs/index.shtml ; then click on “Request for Proposals over:” under the Requests for Proposals heading.  Or the RFP may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at the Engineering Services Building, Room 3, 2301 Peger Road, Fairbanks, Alaska.  Persons residing outside the City of Fairbanks may obtain an RFP Package through the mail by telephoning (907) 451-2247 or TDD number 711 or 1-800-770-8973. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN THE RFP FOR SUBMITTING PROPOSALS: Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms.  Submittals must be received at the address indicated on the RFP no later than DECEMBER 30, 2022 , 4:00 p.m., prevailing time.
