Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received a permit request for the following:
APPLICANT: North Slope Borough (NSB) Technical Training Center
PROJECT NAME: LAS 34320
GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION:
North side of Tract 13, North Slope Lease Tracts, ASLS 76-227 located within Deadhorse.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION:
Within: Section 18, Township 10 North, Range 15 East, Umiat Meridian
REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The Division of Mining, Land, and Water (DMLW) has received a request for a 5-year permit to deposit snow from the NSB Technical Training Center onto undeveloped tundra on the north side of Tract 13, ASLS 76-227, located within Section 18, Township 10N, Range 15 East, Umiat Meridian. Loaders and snow dump trucks will access the snow storage area directly from Tract 13 gravel pad. The snow storage area will be estimated 250’ by 375’. Storage activities will be reviewed and authorized on a case-by-case basis under this permit.

End: October 31, 2026
