The Department of Education and Early Development, Division of Innovation and Education Excellence, is soliciting proposals for professional development in the Science of Reading for Alaska educators.

DEED is committed to ensuring that all Alaska students are reading at grade level by third grade. To meet this commitment, IEE is seeking between 1 and 3 vendors for three separate projects to provide professional development to Alaska educators on the Science of Reading. The Science of Reading tells us that all students learn to read in the same way and educators that have training, resources, and depth of understanding in the Science of Reading will be better equipped to ensure student success in reading at grade level by third grade.
