CONSTRUCTION INVITATION TO BIDS (ITB’s)

Sealed bids in single copy for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment, and performing all work on Project No. SFHWY00259/TA18010; JNU Kaxdigoowu Heen Dei Imp (Brotherhood Bridge Trail Imp), described herein, will be received until 2:00 p.m. prevailing time September 12, 2023, at the Construction Contracts Office, 1st Floor, 6860 Glacier Highway, Juneau, Alaska.

This Federally funded project will design and improve the Kaxdigoowu Heen Dei (Kax) Trail from River Road to the edge of Brotherhood Meadow, where a re-route planned for construction in 2019 would end, Work will primarily consist of selected areas of subgrade repair, repave the  trail, The pedestrian bridge at Montana Creek will be replaced to provide a larger span that allows for some natural stream movement and can withstand emergency and maintenance vehicle use, and the banks armored to increase the expected useful life of the bridge.

The Engineer's Estimate is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. All work shall be completed by October 15, 2024. This is a Race Neutral project as defined in Section 120 of the Specifications.

Bidding Documents are available for inspection at the office of the Regional Department of Transportation and Public Facilities offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks and Juneau.
