The North Slope Borough is seeking sealed bids for construction services for the Ipalook Elementary School in Barrow, Alaska. The work includes replacement of the mechanical pumps and piping, electrical and renovation of the existing steel lift station tank. The project is known as Ipalook Elementary School Lift Station Replacement, CIP# 06-201/ID#12891.

Deadline for bid submittal is on or before June 30, 2023 at 3:30 p.m. Bids will be opened and publicly read aloud at 4:00 p.m. at the upstairs CIPM conference room at 1689 Okpik Street, Utqiaġvik, AK. The project title/CIP number, ID#, your vendor/firm’s name, the words “Bid Enclosed”, bid date and name of Project Administrator must appear on the outside envelope of all bids.

Bidders are responsible for the timely delivery of bids to Sophia Amling, Contract Administrator at the address listed above. Early submittals are encouraged. Bidders are responsible for advising their courier companies of the instruction above to avoid misplacement of their bid submission. Delays due to weather, airline schedules or other unknown variables will not be considered an exception to the deadline requirements. Bids are received when date stamped and time marked on your submission by the Contract Administrator or designee. Please be advised that the United States Post Office does not make deliveries to physical addresses. If using USPS, items may be sent to our mailing address: PO Box 1050, Utqiaġvik, Alaska 99723, addressed to the North Slope Borough Dept. of CIPM attention to the Contract Administrator, with the sealed bid envelope inside of the mailing envelope. However, you are still responsible for ensuring your bid is timely received at the physical address. Bids received after the time announced for the bid closing, unless otherwise specified, will not be considered.

The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities or informalities in any of the proposals. Bids may be awarded in accordance with the Borough’s preference policy, a copy of which is available upon request. Each proposal shall be submitted only on the prescribed proposal forms included with the contract documents.
