The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific intends to issue a within scope contract modification to contract W81K02-23-P-0050. The referenced contract was awarded as a sole source procurement to Cepheid under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. The services that are being performed are Preventative Maintenance and Repair Services for Cepheid GeneXpert Systems at Various Locations (FTW & FTG), Alaska. The anticipated period of performance of this modification is 15 September 2023 through 14 April 2024 for the current Base Period, 15 April 2024 through 14 April 2025 for Option II, 15 April 2025 through 14 April 2026 for Option III and 15 April 2026 through 14 April 2027 for Option IV. The anticipated date for contract modification is on or about 15 September 2023.

The purpose of this modification is to add Cepheid device (GX16A1Y) to the existing Performance Work Statement (PWS) for Preventative Maintenance and Repair Services. This Cepheid device is being added to the contract since repair and maintenance service costs exceed the GPC limits.

This announcement fulfills the synopsis requirements under FAR 5.201 and 5.203. This synopsis of the contract modification is not a request for competitive quotes.
