This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 and FAR 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

Instructions to offerors (Tailored for quotes under FAR part 13), evaluation criteria, and all applicable FAR Provisions and Clauses are attached.

The solicitation number is 70Z03523-Q-0015662 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ).

The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-04.

This acquisition is set-aside 100% for SMALL BUSINESS.

Where Federal Acquisition Regulation clause language is inconsistent with FAR 13.004, Legal Effect of Quotations, that language is hereby tailored in accordance with FAR 12.302 to be consistent with a request for quotations. This tailoring includes, but is not limited to the following: In accordance with FAR 13.004, a quotation is not an offer, and any clause provision to the contrary is hereby modified to be consistent with FAR 13.004. Where the word "offer/offeror” or a derivative of that word appears, it is changed to "quote/quoter” or a derivative of that word.

USCG Base Kodiak has a requirement to purchase:

1. A temporary metal structure in the form of a Quonset hut for storage of the mobile crane with telescoping boom on Base Ketchikan. Quonset hut will facilitate the temporary storage of telescoping boom crane and other mobile equipment to keep out of poor weather conditions that lead to premature failure and corrosion.
   
   
   
   1. The contractor is to provide a Base plates for the Quonset hut which shall be appropriate for the dimensions and spans of the Quonset hut panels. The base plate must also match the materials of the Quonset hut. Base Plates are to be predrilled and precut.
   
   
   2. Prior to shipment, the contractor must submit specifications for the Quonset hut and base plate for government review.
   
   
   
   

MATERIALS AND LOCATIONS:

   1. Materials shall be delivered to USCG Base Ketchikan, 1300 Stedman St. Ketchikan, AK 99901, clearly marked with the manufacturer’s name, brand name, and description of contents.
   
   
   
   

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Steel Quonset Hut Building minimum specifications are as follows:

1. Dimensions (approximate): 32ft x 30ft x 18ft (width x length x center peak height)


2. Front End Wall: Framed opening


3. Rear End Wall: SOLID


4. Arch System: High Tensile Galvalume® Steel or equivalent


5. JS-1000 Premium Grade Hardware: Commercial grade 5/16” Grade 2 / JS 1000 hr. salt-rated preassembled fasteners with polyethylene washers to secure the building components and ensure a water-tight fit or industry equivalent.


6. Premium End wall Weather Stripping Gasket System-ensure tightness for end walls.


7. Technical and architectural drawings and schematics prior to award confirmation, production, and/or shipping.


8. Wind Rating: Must met a minimum wind rating of 150mph.


9. Snow Load: Must meet minimum of 75 PSF snow loads.

Any additional materials, parts, and/or labor not covered under this statement of work will require prior approval from the KO and accompanied by written quote.
