The Department of Education and Early Development, Division of Finance and Support Services – Child Nutrition, USDA Commodity Program is requesting rates for shipment of commodity food products from the Seattle/Tacoma, Washington area to Recipient Agencies in Alaska. Shipments are received in Seattle/Tacoma area in partial to full-truck quantities of mixed products by processor segregated by product type. Freight companies must have a facility in the Seattle/Tacoma, Washington area to receive, store and deliver received shipments. Freight companies bidding on transportation of these products must be able to deliver or make arrangements for delivery. Please see attachments for additional information.
