The Alaska State Library Archives and Museums seeks a vendor to lease and operate a café in the Fr. Andrew P. Kashevaroff Building (APK), located at 395 Whittier Street in Juneau, Alaska.

The APK is the site of the Alaska State Museum and the reading and research rooms of the Alaska State Libraries and the Alaska State Archives. The building also features a classroom, a 125-seat lecture hall, and a grand atrium. There are approximately 50 visitor parking places and space for up to 4 tour buses (each with potentially up to 40 people).

The café is expected to augment the visitor experience of this exceptional building. The café can expect patronage from up to 50 staff members who work in the building, as well as tourists and local visitors. The busiest tourist season is May through September, with slower visitation the rest of the year. Café hours should match the building's scheduled open hours. Closing after lunch is acceptable. Projected opening date is December 1, 2023, but this can be negotiated.

The café is located just inside the front door of the building. A door opens into the café space from the foyer and another door leads to the building's atrium. The retail space is approximately 20'x21' with an added area of approximately I0'x20' toward the back for food preparation. The café has a total of 640 square feet.
