IFB#FPC-23-14 UAA MAC 1-6 Entries Facia Replacement
Electronically submitted bids, in single copy, for UAA MAC 1-6 Entries Facia Replacement, will be
received by the University of Alaska Anchorage, Facilities Planning and Construction until April 25, 2023
at 2:00 pm, at the email designated herein at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud via
teleconference toll-free number, 1-866-832-7806 PIN 9120787.
Submit electronic bids via Bid Express https://www.bidexpress.com/businesses/64480/home.
The work consists of the following: Repair six (6) exterior entries of the University of Alaska
Anchorage (UAA) Main Apartment Complexes (MAC) in accordance with the plan’s and specifications.
Work will need to be phased to ensure only one building is impacted at a time, buildings being worked
on will not be occupied, close coordination with the owner will be required located at:

Due to the COVID-19, the University of Alaska has imposed a restriction limiting group gatherings. To
comply with this restriction UAA Facilities Planning & Construction will be conducting a pre-bid
conference via teleconference to be followed by a restricted walkthrough of the project site.
A pre-bid conference will be conducted via teleconference followed by an onsite walk through. The
teleconference will be held April 11, 2023 at 10:00 am, interested parties may participate by calling 1-
866-832-7806 using the participant code 9120787. Immediately following the teleconference an onsite
walkthrough of the project location will take place on April 11, 2023 at 10:15 am, at the Housing Commons
located at 3700 Sharon Gagnon, Anchorage, AK 99508.
All bids must be accompanied by a bid bond provided by a surety authorized to do business in the State
of Alaska on a form provided herein, or a cashier’s check. Bid security must be in an amount equal to at
least five percent (5%) of the maximum amount of the bid.
Questions regarding this IFB shall be directed, in writing, to UAA Facilities Planning & Construction Bid
Express.
Complete bidding documents for this project are available in electronic form. They may be viewed online
and downloaded without charge and without deposit from Bid Express.
Bidders must register through the web site to be notified of addenda. Bid documents are not available
from the Architect or the Owner, but they may be obtained from most plan rooms and reprographic firms
for a fee. Printed copies may be ordered from reprographic companies through the website or by
contacting a reprographer directly.
