The Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilities proposes to change the authorized uses of and extend Lease ADA-71152, Lot 2A and 3A, Block 21, consisting of approximately 30,000 square feet, at Gulkana Airport for an additional 5 years. Applicant: Copper Valley Air Service, LLC. Authorized uses: aeronautical ? operation and maintenance of a hangar with office space for the operation of a commercial aviation business including: air taxi service, flight school, aircraft maintenance, repair and parking; retail sales of aircraft parts, accessories and airmen supplies; aircraft tie-down rentals; all in connection with fixed wing aircraft having a certificated maximum gross take-off weight of less than 12,500 lbs. and rotary-wing aircraft with a certificated max gross take-off weight of not more than 6,000 lbs.; vehicle parking for Lessee’s employees, customers, and guests; weather observation services and sublease of office space for such services; sublease of space for cell tower and shelter; and aviation fuel storage.

This is an application filed under AS 02.15.090(c), which allows the Department to grant the proposed lease amendment without competition. Written comments must be received by 4:30 p.m., November 21, 2022, after which the Department will determine whether or not to amend the lease.
