The Alaska Marine Highway System (Department) invites proposals from general construction contractors to serve as "Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC)" for the AMHS ? Tustumena Replacement Vessel Propulsion System Integrator project. The CMGC procurement is intended to encompass all materials, labor, supplies, equipment and supervision necessary for the complete construction of the project, including any preconstruction related services during the development process.

A complete description of services is contained in the RFP Package. Estimated period for performance of the Agreement is approximately December 2022 through September 2023 (Preconstruction Services), September 2023 through December 2028 (Construction Services). Cost of these professional services is expected to be in the range of $200,000 and $250,000 for Preconstruction Services and in the range of $25 and $35 Million for Construction Services.

The Request for Proposals (RFP) Package will be available OCTOBER 19, 2022 , and may be downloaded from our web site at: https://dot.alaska.gov/procurement/ ; then click on “Current Bid Calendar” under the Construction Bidding heading. Or the RFP may be obtained in person from the DOT&PF plans room at the Engineering Services Building, Room 3, 2301 Peger Road, Fairbanks, Alaska. (for Hearing Impaired, requires special equipment). There is no charge for the RFP package.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS IN THE RFP FOR SUBMITTING PROPOSALS: Proposals must conform to the RFP and be submitted with specified forms. Submittals must be received at the address indicated on the RFP no later than NOVEMBER 16, 2022 , 4:00 p.m., prevailing time.
